More model informationThis is an ongoing project to study the Liberty Road Markers. Liberty Road Markers were created in 1946~7 and up to now to celebrate the advance of Patton’s 3rd Army in France, from its landing in Normandy, France to its arriving in Bastogne, Belgium.
A few of these Markers are in the US most of them given in 1949 with the Merci Train. The most famous pair is the one Le Havre/Arromanches which is guarding the entrance to Patton Park in South Hamilton, MA, USA.
