Portion of a sculptured stone from Lasswade Old Parish Church, Midlothian. It is one of two early medieval carved stones (along with X.IB 21, currently on display) found when clearing the ruins of the 13th-century church. The style of the decoration makes it likely to have been an architectural fragment, perhaps a frieze or lintel, in an earlier church.
Accession number: X.IB 20
Date: 11th - 12th century
Materials: Sandstone
Dimensions: 280mm H x 410mm W x 100mm D
