More model informationKronosaurus queenslandicus was an early Cretaceous marine reptile that inhabited the high latitude ‘Eromanga Sea’ in what is now north central Queensland. Kronosaurus reached 8-10 metres in length. This model of the head section measures 1100 mm in length and is roughly a one-half life scale.
The model was constructed by Paul Stumkat as part of a PhD project by Dr Colin McHenry. The project was started at the University of Queensland and was completed at The University of Newcastle in 2009. Currently on loan to the National Maritime Museum, Kronosaurus will be touring the country for the next four years as part of the Sea Monsters Exhibition.
