Knigh Graveyard Keane Stonecutter3D Model
19th-century headstone dedicated to Margaret Kennedy who died February 21st 1843. The headstone stands against to the south of Knigh medieval church ruins (TN014-051001-), in the south-west quadrant of the parish graveyard of Knigh (An Cnaoi), Co. Tipperary. The inscription is framed within a border decorated with a running lozenge motif, both top corners of his panel are decorated with a flower head, while the two lower corners are decoarted with quarter sunburst motif. Above the inscription there is an I H S Christogram with a Latin cross rising from the cross-bar of the H, contained within a sunburst of lozenges which is flanked on either side by a ciborium with flowers at their bases. Above the sunburst in the apex of the headstone there is a small soul-effigy. Beneath the inscription the headstone has been signed by the stonecutter and his place of work, Keane Limerick.
