More model informationA battle-axe of a type common across northern Europe, with concave upper and lower edges and an expanded, convex cutting edge. A narrow neck expands to form an oval shaft hole with the remains of projecting spurs top and bottom. It is one of a rare handful of axes that survive with silver inlay decoration, which was probably given a gilt finish.
