More model informationLarge slab of puddingstone placed on the green near Kingsbury Mill, St Michael’s Street (near the River Ver), St Albans, Hertfordshire. Puddingstone is a conglomerate full of small rounded flint pebbles held within a siliceous matrix or silcrete. Most of the pebbles have a black patina although other colours, such as yellow, red, brown or grey, can be found. The puddinstone is unique to the geology of Hertfordshire.
