Situated on the lower SW slope of Barr Mor, this stone overlooks Kilmartin village and has a wide view of the line of cairns through the glen. It was discovered in 1999 by Stan Beckansdale and labelled as Kilmartin 1. It was then overgrown by a thicket of brambles and unable to be found by the Scottish Rock Art project fieldwork school in 2018, until it was once again revealed in April 2022.
This stone is 15m direct N of the gate in the head-dyke between the hill and the common land, 5m away from the dyke. It is a rough-square schist slab (1.2m long by 1.03m breadth), with fissures running SW to NE across the stone. There are 25 cup-marks and 1 set of dumbells. The biggest cup-marks are 7cm in diameter and 0.5cm.
