A simple sigh remodelled after an image, created by Maxine Desmet. The fish turned out to appear very angry. It gave the character alot of.. character, so I kept it. I first traced an outline of the fish, then extruded a base including the fins. In retrospect I should have just used the body as a base, and extruded the fins afterwards. This gave me alot of extra work from filling and smoothing things out. I further extruded and scaled down the outline of the body to get a more oval shape. All with the mirror modifyer. Then I got to work changing the topology to make it feel like a fish. I am quite pleased with the result. But to keep it within 10k polys, I couldnt the Subdivision modifyer. I also did something with the eyes, making the model turn inside out if I tried to apply anything to smooth the model out. I did some work using the sculpting tool, and also used the bevel tool alot.
