A medium quality model (here decimated to 1000k) of a 3rd Century Roman marble sculpture of the god Jupiter, found at Apulum (Dacia province), nowadays Alba Iulia, Alba County, Romania. The god is represented seated, with the lower body draped, an eagle at his feet and the left arm raised. The large scale of the statue indicates that it comes from a Capitoline temple within the town, where several other fragments of similar statues were also recovered. The statue can now be found within the lapidarium of the Principia Museum, in the Citadel Square. (copyright Muzeul National al Unirii / Primaria Municipiului Alba Iulia 2017).
