More model informationA possible tree stump on the intertidal sands of Rhyl beach, near the old pier at a place known locally as Splash Point. A prehistoric submerged forest is known further out to sea and occasionally is exposed by storms. Stone tools and an antler mattock show that ancient hunter-gatherers visited the place occasionally when it was a coastal woodland teeming with wild boar, deer, fish and smaller game.
