More model informationThis 3D Model is a representation of Pultzer Prize-winning World War II coorespondent and former Indiana Daily Student editor, Ernie Pyle. In this Sculpture Pyle is sitting at a warped table in front of his typewriter. Pyle wrote from a soldiers perspective immersing himself in the lives of the very people he was writing about during the pacific campaign but he was killed from sniper fire in 1945. This sculpture is based on photos of Pyle reporting from the trenches during the war and is meant to preserve his legacy and the continuing influence he has on students.
