More model informationThis bowl from the Egyptian Museum of the University of Bonn (Inv. No. BoSAe 0/1257) has a diameter of 16,7 cm and is about 4,6 cm high. It was found during the work of the University of Bonn on rock-cut tombs in Qubbet el-Hawa in front of tomb 207. It dates to the first half of the 11th dynasty.
The pictured scene shows a Nubian archer hunting while being surrounded by animals. There is also a counterpart to this bowl showing an Egyptian hunter in a similar scene. It is displayed in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.
