Prehistoric carved boulder sitting on steep sloping topography near How Beck Head on Cotherstone Moor, W of Cotherstone, County Durham.
Referenced 1 in the West Loups section of the 1998 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of County Durham, Swaledale and Wensleydale’ this carving was added to ERA as ‘How Beck Head 8’ by NADRAP in 2008. Stan Beckensall records 35 cups of varying size in the 1998 publication, Historic England scheduling mentions 22 cups and NADRAP drew around 20.
