Hope was found as a young filly with her mother along with a large group of other horses. They had been neglected and were brought to Penny Farm, our Rescue and Rehoming Centre in Lancashire. She is a very friendly and placid girl who gets on well with other horses. Hope has been out to shows and competed in the rescue class at Equifest in 2017. Hope’s artist, Cheryl Johnson, won a competition to design her. Hope was part of World Horse Welfare’s Borough Trail in Windsor and Chelsea between April and August.
The master sculpture itself was created by acclaimed artist Judy Boyt based on the story of Lucas, a frozen and abandoned foal who was rescued by World Horse Welfare and has flourished into a beautiful sport horse.
