Prehistoric carved outcrop, found on private farmland NW of Riddlesden, Keighley, West Yorkshire.
This exposure is referenced IAG33 by Boughey & Vickerman in their 2003 publication ‘Prehistoric Rock Art of the West Riding’, & described:
‘…markings consist of a group of well defined cups showing peck marks - possible 5th cup like depression separate from this group, leading to what appears to be a natural groove, but which may also have been worked as part of the ‘design’ - signs of possible pecking on other parts of the rock surface.’
The CSI: Rombalds Moor project referenced the stone ‘High Carr 01’ on ERA in 2013.
