More model informationShaded relief map of lakebed near the Straits of Mackinac. Data are derived from NOAA Multibeam Sonar Survey H13252. The horizontal extent of the displayed lakebed area is 545 x 545 m. Water depths range from 10 to 25 m. The vertical relief is slightly exaggerated to better visualize bottom topography. The main features in this area are the profusion of boulder-like objects, some of which seem to be aligned in organized patterns. Parallel striations that look like furrows are an artifact of converting Multibeam Sonar data to a shaded relief map.
