More model informationGrimspound is a prehistoric settlement dating from the late Bronze Age (about 1450–700 BC). At least 24 hut circles are enclosed by a 150 metre diameter stone wall. The site was excavated by the Dartmoor Exploration Committee in 1894-5, following excavation the site was partially reconstructed. Grimspound is one of the most visited archaeological sites on Dartmoor.
