The Greek tortoise is a species of tortoise in the family Testudinidae which live in North Africa, Southern Europe, and Southwest Asia. The total length of the carapace can reach 30 cm. It is mainly herbivorous, but also feeding on snails, worms, carrion or mammal dung.
