This home is designed to replicate several aspects of Georgian architecture. Georgian-styled homes were most prevalent from 1714 to around 1830, and reflect a period of colonization and the desire for symmetrical and formal-looking homes throughout English-speaking countries including the United States.
Spanning from 1714 to 1830, the Georgian Period emergered after four successive Kings (George I - George IV) had that same name. This term occasionally referes to buildings built during King William’s reign, which lasted until 1837.
This model is most reminicient of the Tallis Home in Atonement, especially in terms of its symmetrical similarities and extensive acres. However, instead of simply remaking the Tallis Home, I used some of my own creative vision, as well as inspiration from the Bledisloe House in Gloucesterchire, England, to create a model that overlaps archiectural styles from that of baronial Gothic (symmetrical aspects) and the English Baroque.
