GBU-24 Paveway III or simply GBU-24 is a family of laser-guided bombs, a sub-group of the larger Raytheon Paveway III family of weapons. The Paveway guidance package consists of a seeker package attached to the nose of the weapon, and a wing kit attached to the rear to provide stability and greater range.
The GBU-24 consists of a MK-84 2,000 pound (1,000 kg) bomb with an improved laser guidance package. The MK-84 bomb can be replaced by a BLU-109 warhead (in which case is named (GBU-24 (V) 2/B )) and eventually by other penetration bombs. The GBU-24 was designed to engage targets in low altitude and with greater standoff ranges delivery conditions.
The rear fins are tucked in and once the bomb is released they open up to give the bomb gliding ability and longer range.
The model was built using information, photos and images from internet, therefore its geometry and details are not engineering correct or exact. It is a personal artistic interpretation
It is a high poly model not suitable for games
