Funerary Stela Of Wahibre (HARGM3589)3D Model
Large sandstone stela dating to the Twenty-sixth Dynasty (c. 664–332 BC). The stela is decorated on the front face in sunk relief. It consists of three registers, all of which are surrounded by a thin incised border. In the lunette of the stela is a winged sun disk with pendant uraei. Directly above this is a vaulted sky sign, which forms the upper border of the stela. In the scene below, the unnamed deceased is depicted in adoration before Re-Horakhty (on the left) and Atum (on the right). Between the deceased and the deity is a small offering table containing a single jar. Both deities hold a was-sceptre, with Re-Horakhty wearing the solar disk and Atum the double crown. In front of the face of each deity are the hieroglyphs “Behdety, the Great God”, which should be associated with the winged sun disk above. In the lower register are four lines of hieroglyphs. This consists of an offering formula addressed to Re-Horakhty, with the deceased identified as Wahibre, son of Khaapataaset.
