More model informationThis is a remote canyon site in the Coconino Forest near Sedona Arizona. This model is part of a photo documentation effort by local volunteers to record and help preserve archaeological sites in the area. This is a 3-4 room cliff face dwelling area believed to be Sinagua in origin dating from 1100-1300 AD
This site is in an exposed area and the wall structures are at extreme risk of erosional degredation.
This wall section has a viewing ventilation window. Most of the wall has collapsed and the supporting rocks at the base of progressively eroding out.
