This is the central area of panel 15 area 3. The buff white paint is part of an Archaic rake symbol. The brighter white paint overlies the rake and is believed to be Sinagua. The deeply incised grooves were believed to be Apache Verde Incised style but they can be seen to be overlain by the white paint of the rake symbol. Some of the deeply incised grooves appear to overlay the fine incised lines which are clearly superimposed by the rake symbol. This model also shows the erosion of the surface fracture filling material exposing iron enriched zones over the native Permian SS.
This model is part of a project to study the association of Archaic and Sinagua petroglyphs and pictographs.
