Located at Red Rock State Park in Sedona, Arizona, this is a historic building and outdoor features.
Early in 1941, newlyweds Helen and Jack Frye were looking for a place to get away. Jack was president of TWA. They purchased homesteads that became the 77 acre Smoke Trail Ranch. The house, designed by Helen started construction in 1947. It was to resemble a Hopi pueblo. They were divorced before the house was completed. Helen lived in it prior to completion until she built a new house nearby in 1962.
The building and outdoor features are not open to the public. They can be viewed from a trail adjacent to the property.
