Construction of the building began in 1947. The house was built by and for Helen and Jack Frye. Frye was the president of TWA. The property became the Smoke Trail Ranch and eventually, Red Rock State Park. The design was intended to resemble a Hopi pueblo.
This feature is an outdoor rock ring patio constructed to the north of lower level of the house to the north of the main structure.
The building area and Patio ring are not open to the public but can be viewed from a trail adjacent to the building.
