This is a small area of rock art panel 15 at the Grotto Alcove of the Palatki Heritage Site in the Red Rock District of the Coconino Forest, northwest of Sedona, Arizona.
This is a small portion of an Archaic rake symbol pictograph that appears to be superimposed on probable older vertical petroglyphs and superimposed by younger Sinagua or Apache scratches. The age of the oldest scratches is unknown at this time.
This is part of an ongoing project to document at risk sites and rock art and also to evaluate potential pre-Archaic imagary in the Verde Valley.
