This is a small area at a remote location in Sedona, Arizona that may or may not be archaeological. There are multiple features at the site like this that are being studied to determine if they might possibly be Sinagua, Yavapai or Western Apache rather than Historic or modern graffiti. Each feature is approximately 1 x 1 foot in area. The crude stick figure in the middle of the feature is clearly modern.
This model is part of an ongoing project to document “at risk” rock art at our Heritage Sites due to natural or vandalism related issues. Additional information about the Red Rock District of the Coconino Forest can be found at the following web sites http://www.sedonaredrocktrails.org/
