This is believed to be an agricultural tool used by Charles Willard starting in the 1920s after he homesteaded the Red Canyon (Palatki) area. The item is located adjacent to the trail leading to the Sinagua cliff dwelling and in direct association with the fruit tree orchard he put in place starting in 1924.
The Palatki Heritage Site, located NW of Sedona, Arizona is open 7 days a week from 9:30am to 3:00pm. Reservations are recommended due to limited parking and space on the dwelling tours. Call 928-282-3854 for reservations.
