More model informationA French late 13th century Saintonge ware jug from the excavations in Cuckoo Lane, Southampton. The jug, with its parrot-beak lip, has a light amber glaze and is decorated with a bird and a shield. The jug is part of the collection of Southampton Cultural Services (SOTLS : A1973.1021). It was found as part of the famous Pit 14 assemblahe from Cuckoo Lane.

The jug has been laser scanned as part of a collaborative project between Southampton Cultural Services and the Department of Archaeology at the University of Southampton.
