More model informationThis is a fixed human heart that was donated for research. The donor was a 62-year-old male with a history of hypertension, coronary artery disease, diabetes, and a myocardial infarction. The heart was filled with foam to inflate the chambers prior to scanning.
We partner with LifeSource to receive organs donated for research that were deemed not viable for transplant.
