“Plaster cast of the disrupted head, forefins and trunk.
Bournemouth Natural Science Society No. 30490
Lower Lias, Street Somerset. Donated in 1919 by W.P. Stephens. Whereabouts of original specimen unknown.
As preserved, this skeleton, which lies up-side-down, is badly disrupted. The lower jaws have been completely disconnected from the skull, itself considerably disrupted, and the forelimbs, each more or less intact, have become separated from the upper arm bones (humeri). The vertebral column is now largely disarticulated and the associated rib systems (thoracic, abdominal, etc.) broken up.” ~ transcribed from BNSS object label.
