More model informationEuonymus japonicus (Thunb., 1780), also known as evergreen chuck or Japanese chuck, is an angiosperm plant in the family Celastraceae, native to Japan, Korea and China. It is an evergreen shrub, sometimes a sapling, growing to 2-8 m in height, with oval opposite leaves 3-7 cm long with finely serrated margins. The flowers are small, green-white, 5 mm in diameter. In autumn the pink seed tegument opens and orange fruits emerge from it, hanging from the involucre.
