More model informationThis ca. 25 to 220 AD Eastern Han Dynasty horse is made of earthenware with an amber lead glaze. It is in the collection of the Victoria & Albert Museum in London, England. According to the exhibit label:
This tomb model of a horse represents an inported Central Asian breed, considered superior to the native horses. Burial figures of this large scale are very rare. They were made of several moulded parts, most of them hollow.
It was 3D scanned with a Structure Scanner attached to an iPad Mini 4. As it was in a glass-enclosed exhibit case, the left side of the horse was only partially scanned.
