More model informationThis model has been scanned from a 71.5cm high double-sided Ikenga altar, carved from wood and belonging to the Igbo/Ibo culture of Nigeria. The original dates back to the 19th century and belonged to Ángel Martín’s collection of Ancient African Art. This work was scanned by Artmonite using photogrammetry during the exhibition that took place at the Círculo de Bellas Artes in Madrid entitled “Metamorphosis of Being: Representations of the Head in Central and Western Africa”. Today the sculpture is part of the Sánchez-Ubiria Collection.
