More model informationPhotogrammetry scan of a section of Davidson’s Plum (Davidsonia jerseyana) tree trunk with ripening fruit on it. An Australian native species of bushtucker that occurs in dry subtropical / littoral rainforest. It also has extremely hairy leaves, which if handled make you itch & is grown commercially for it’s fruit. However, if you eat this fruit raw, prepare to pucker up. It is very astringent, or in other words, sucks every bit of moisture out of your mouth when eaten. Excellent for making jams or preserves from though. Looks like the fruit bats have been sampling them & spreading some seeds. No trees were hurt in the making of this model ;-D
