Last week, I visualized participants of synchronized digital systems that transcend spatial and temporal constraints, where the affordances of growing technology and human agency takes center stage. At the heart of this exploration lies the concept of a dinner party, a quintessential human-centered experience grounded in the physical that serves as a metaphorical bridge to evolving digital realities. In both this landscape and XR as a whole, human agency is essential. As the threads wrap around the displaced plates, they track movement and interaction of participants who volunteered to enter this realm. Through this, we become both observers and actors, blurring the lines between the real and the virtual. How does our agency shape the narrative of this digital dinner setting, and what tales of connection and expression emerge as the result of it?
