More model informationThis is one of a number of ‘double-ended’ calvary crosses, most of which are found around the Black Isle, and are likely to date to the later thirteenth or early fourteenth centuries. The main cross head is an elegantly simple form of bracelet cross, which rises on a foliated shaft from a diminutive calvary base. The base of the slab is filled by a more elaborate cross formed of eight intersecting arcs. To the right of the cross is a sword with lobated pommel and forward-pointing or depressed hand guard.
