More model informationThe cAMP response element-binding protein (CREB) is a protien that binds to the cAMP response element (CRE). It binds to the DNA using a bZIP structure (modelled here). The bZIP structure can be found in many different DNA binding proteins. It picks up DNA by fitting two helices into the major grooves of the DNA like a pair of chopsticks.
