This area, near the largest section of Confederate dead, contains plaque from the local chapter of the Sons of Confederate Veterans and markers for Confederate generals Edward Alexander, Ambrose Wright, Victor Girardey, William Smith, John Jackson, Goode Bryan, and Marcellus Stoval, each buried elsewhere in the cemetery. An inscription reads:
This memorial is dedicated to the memory of these 7 brave soldiers who rest elsewhere in Magnolia. They fought against oppresion, tyranny, absolute power and usurpation of states’ rights, all of which still plague our country. Erected by E. Porter Alexander Campy 158, Sons of Confederate Veterans. Commander Woody HIghsmith, Adjutant Walker McWee, Lt. Cmdr. Tony Carr, Judge Adv. K. G. Watson. This 15 Day of January 1994.
