More model informationThe common minke whale (Balaenoptera acutorostrata) is the smallest species of the rorquals, the largest group of baleen whales, which comprise the family Balaenopteridae. It averages 6,5–8,8 m in length and weigh approximately 2,000 to 2,700 kg.
Common minke whales are normally seen singly and their diet consists of fish, crustacean, cephalopods and krill.
