The common boa, is a species of large, non-venomous, heavy-bodied snake, member of the family Boidae. The species is native to tropical South America and its lengths varies from 0.91 to 3.96 m, depending on the locality and the availability of suitable prey. It feeds on wide variety of small to medium-sized mammals (specially rodents) and birds.
