For this model I made sure to be extra careful while setting up the camera and taking pictures. As a result, I ended up with 134 good photos and 56,000 tie points. Gradual selection went much better on this model than the last attempt; after I reached a reconstruction uncertainty of 10, a projection accuracy of 2-3, and a reprojection error of just under .3, my model had 13,889 tie points to work with.
The one challenge for this model was cleaning it up; this final model is my second attempt, as the first failed due to improper modelling around the beak and tail. This problem was solved after I realigned the photos andtook care to erase points that were floating in space.
Other specs that may be of note: - Shot at 1/15 on a tripod - F10 - ISO 400
My next step will be to incorporate scale bars and larger objects now that I feel like I can do the workflow in my sleep. I have eyed the couch in my room to be something that would be ideal for photogrammetry.
