More model informationIn the middle of a small wet field, close to Lochan Dùn Fhearchair on Benbecula, NF 80567 48733, there is a low subcircular raised mound, around 6 metres in diameter. On the crest, there is a small group of boulders and some smaller stones.
It certainlty seems to be a created feature, not just glacial droppings, but it seems unusual to find a clearance cairn in the middle of a field, particularly when there seems to be no evidence of agricultural use, the ground is more suited to pasture. The large central slab is not exposed bedrock, but a discrete boulder.
