I remember my first introduction to Blender. I ran across the application by accident and in fact, I had zero interest in 3D modelling at the time. I just thought it would be fun to mess with. When I opened the app I was instantly terrified by the apparent complexity and I ran like a scared puppy..lol Fast forward a few years and it came up again only this time, I also happened upon Andrew Price over at Poliigon and one of his infamous donut tutorials. I learned so much from following his tutorials that I was instantly hooked and realized I could actually handle this beast.
If you’re new to 3D modelling and interested in getting to know Blender, check out Andrew’s YouTube channel for some amazingly great tutorials to get your feet wet. I’m not affiliated at all but I have to plug his website as well. Poliigon has excellent textures, HDI’s and models.
