Carved outcrop on Chattonpark Hill, Northumberland.
This sloping area of exposed outcrop measures around 8.5m x 6m (2018) and has numerous faded cup and partial ring motifs. Given the level of wear, it’s probably safe to assume the carved surface has been exposed for long periods.
Recorded on the Beckensall Archive as ‘Chatton 3’ it was added to ERA by NADRAP in 2008.

Although the rock is marked Ordnance Survey maps, it doesn’t appear to be covered by area scheduling, but was previously part of a stewardship scheme.
This decimated model was created from 29 stereo pairs captured using a 5mp Nikon Coolpix 5400 by Joe Gibson in January 2007. The imagery formed part of the NADRAP / ERA archive.
