More model informationParticipants at the Norwich Science Festival (17 Feb 2023) and Wivenhoe Woodcraft Folk made chalk reef habitats on small hexagons (sand, cobbles, low chalk, chalk ridge, chalk arch) and then created a wild mix of realistic inhabitants (starfish, crabs, cuttlefish, anemones) and some not so realistic.
The Marine Technology Research Unit from the Univerrsity of Essex and Natural England had great fun working with the (mostly) kids and explaining more about Norfolk’s real chalk reef.
