Description: This specimen represents stacked Calcite rhombohedrons (parallel growth), named ‘pagodas’, due to the similarity with Japanese pagodas (historically derive from the Chinese pagoda). Theoretical parallel growth of rhombohedral Calcite (https://skfb.ly/6WZEy).
The specimen exhibits pink fluorescence when exposed to UV light (365 nm, long wave). The activator that gives the pink-rose fluorescence in ultraviolet light is Mn(II) replacing Ca(II).
