A little latte art to satisfy your virtual caffiene needs. Planned Import to VRChat soon.
How the textures were made was by using real life images and downscaling them to fit a lower image pixelcount, then baking these images to a cleaner and clearer uv map. The images were then converted to a normalmap, specifically the latte art itself to give it that bumpy effect. The whole texture uses a 256x256 pixel size map, which includes the Diffuse map and Normal map. The Ambient Occlusion Map was baked into the Diffuse map to save more memory.
More or less that was the process I use to convert real life objects for game ready use. I do admit, for assets like these where you’re able to pull inspiration or use from real life objects, the process becomes less of an artistic choice, rather it comes down to whoever is able to make the asset the fastest.
Till next time dear readers, Clo7er.
