Byzantine Epigraph of the Church of Santa Maria de Valle Josaphat in Paternò (Catania, Sicily)
In the sacristy of the Church there is a Byzantine tombstone in Greek archaic characters (θ) εου oìχо (u) εσσο (s), which means ‘Entrance of the house of God’; It was shifted from side to side and walled upside down; Was studied but not deciphered by Paolo Orsi. It was interpreted by Biagio Pace in 1949.
