More model information‘The Bowstones’ are the upper parts of a pair of Anglian cross shafts which date back to the 9th or 10th centuries AD. They were most likely moved to their current location in the 16th century and were damaged during the Reformation. Folk legend has it they are named the Bowstones as Robin Hood and his men re-strung their bows here.
